Today’s honor goes to distinguished L.A. Times Staff writer, Chris Pasles for this eloquent pairing:
Neurasthenic Undertones
Of which there were none found in the two Tchaikovsky works performed by the L.A. Philharmonic,
... even when they explored melancholic depths.
Congratulations Chris! Keep up the good work!

You just don't get enough neurasthenia references these days.
Suffer like it's 1899!
"Anyone expecting Old World, slush-pump indulgences was in for a surprise."
Slush-pump indulgences are my favorite kind! How did he know?
Seriously, though: WTF?!
Maybe you Ivory Tower liberal arts people don't get enough neurasthenia references. I'm up to my laryngopharynx in them.
Well SA, any slush-pump afficionado worth his casing centralizers knows that Old World Slush-pumps are not ideal for any project. A new C Valve Seat with a fully wing-guided valve provides maximum flow through area while pumping at high pressure rates. Moreover, these days, a snap on ring and top plate provides easy access to insert and prevents plate breakage.
The old ones just don't have the largest possible wearing area for metal to metal contact with all three web seats.
It's just a god damned fact, I'm sorry to say.
OK AS, I just want to know where the fuck you looked that shit up. That was awesome.
Gots to love the Googles and Yay-hoos.
